Graduate/Junior Data feeds/visualisation developer

Updata have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Developer to join the team based in London. The successful candidate will gain invaluable development and financial services experience from day 1. As part of the Data Integration Team, you will be working with highly motivated individuals on mission critical projects at the centre of Updata operations.

Updata delivers cutting edge Technical Analytics software combined with an ever expanding set of data compatibility. As a Junior Data Integration Developer, you will be part of expanding and supporting feeds compatibility.

The Ideal Candidate will Have

Experience in software development in a windows environment using Visual Studio.

Self-motivation and a desire to take on and finish new challenges

Strong technical and general communication skills are essential

Familiarity with database technologies, SQL most beneficial

Explored the Updata website extensively and ideally trialled the Updata software

Desirable Technical Experience

C++, MFC, Windows API, Multithreading

C#, ASP, ASP.Net

Microsoft SQL Server

Some familiarity with financial markets and data visualisation helpful

Data management experience

Revision control with subversion

Updata is based in south west London though many of our programmers work remotely from home. Being London based or close by is not essential, but would be an advantage.

Graduate/Junior Developer candidates that make it through to the first stage of recruitment will be required to take a technical test on site.
